Support our work
The NSEF is a not-for-profit needs-driven project created in London mainly to support communities and to give young people and women mainly from remote rural areas the opportunity for quality education and enterprise training.
NSEF in Guinea-Bissau and worldwide
The Bissau Guinean community is experiencing multiple and complex disadvantage both to individual wellbeing and to community participation. The most significant features in the country are high unemployment levels due to lack of job opportunities, high level of youth disengagement in work or study, low education and training levels.
With a growing of Bissau-Guinean diaspora in the UK and elsewhere, we here to support the community engagement and education, and to help in developing the physical, mental and spiritual capacities of people involved in our activities (particularly those who are economically and socially disadvantaged), by providing also recreation leisure and sporting opportunities (i.e. Football Association matches).
On our project execution, the primary focus will be on partnerships with the main interested parties, such as the government, industry and local authorities. The objective is to assure the involvement of these entities in each project area, so that it becomes more consensual and, consequently, the conception and implementation can become more refined. Emphasis will be given to the participation of local people in the implementation of our projects, aiming to pass on the know-how to the local communities in Guinea-Bissau.
